Throughout the next couple of weeks, we will be spotlighting our new Humboldt State Lumberjacks of all 11 of our intercollegiate athletic teams.  This is a chance for the Humboldt State University Lumberjack community to get to know our newest Lumberjacks.

Why did you choose to become a Lumberjack?

I chose to become a Lumberjack because I loved the area being so close to nature. I also like how tight nit the community is.

What is your favorite book that you have read?   

My favorite book that I have read is “The Fault in Our Stars”.

What is your favorite movie?

Pitch Perfect

Who do you look up to?

I look up to my parents because they have worked hard to get where they are which is something that they have instilled in me.

Where do you want to be in ten years?

In ten yers, I don't know exactly where I want to be but I want to be successful and make a difference in others' lives.

What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is playing in the Championship game in the San-Joaquin Sections.  This is my favorite memory because this was the farthest our school's softball team has ever gone in the playoffs.

What do you most like about Humboldt State and the community?

Humboldt Ocean
What I like most about Humboldt is how close it is to the forest and ocean. In my hometown, the closest thing to me is the lake so I love the change in scenery.

What is your favorite color?

PURPLE

If you had a chance to meet one person, who would that person be?

Tom Holland
I would want to meet Tom Holland because he is one of my favorite actors.

If you got to pick one place to go on vacation, where would that be?

I would like to go to Paris.

If you had a million dollars, what would be the first things you would do with it?

Payback my parents, give back to my community, take a trip around the world with my family and friends, get a dog and buy a house.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory is when I would go camping with my family.

What is your favorite food to eat?

Spaghetti

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

My favorite teacher was my physics teacher, Mr. Boykin. He made learning physics fun and exciting.

What is your favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject in school is math just because there is always a definite answer.

Have you learned any new skills or hobbies during Covid?

I have learned how to upcyle clothes and edit videos.

What is your favorite thing about being on an athletic team?

Friendship
I love competing and the friendships you make while being a part of a team.

When you have to stay inside and work out, what do you do?

TREADMILLS
I look on youtube for a workout videos like ab and full body workouts or run on my treadmill.
