Throughout the next couple of weeks, we will be spotlighting our new Humboldt State Lumberjacks of all 11 of our intercollegiate athletic teams.  This is a chance for the Humboldt State University Lumberjack community to get to know our newest Lumberjacks.

Somewhere in Texas or Arizona in my house I built

What is your favorite athletic memory?

Scoring 23/38 points in the state semi-final game against a nationally ranked team. This is my favorite because days before the game, I was on the Honorable Mention Team in my league and region and myself and others disagreed with that decision. But it showed that even when people doubted me and tried to hold down I can persevere through it.

What do you most like about Humboldt State and the community?

Humboldt County Beach
I love the change to be with my teammates, really great people and good vibes all around. My coaches are really great as well. I like how involved they are in our academics. One thing here that will never get old is the beach sunsets. Sunsets/sunrises are my favorite things about the earth.

If you had a chance to meet one person, who would that person be?

I would want to meet Kobe Bryant because I want to how his aura and energy is. I've heard from podcasts and videos that he was a very down to earth guy, and I would want a chance to be in the presence of that.

If you got to pick one place to go on vacation, where would that be?

GREECE

If you had a million dollars, what would be the first things you would do with it?

Put into my bank account and save it.

What is your favorite thing about being on an athletic team?

The friendships you make, and having a family away from family.

What is your favorite food to eat?

Wings

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Being around my family.

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

My sixth grade teacher, Mr. Rogers because he was native and someone I can relate to.

What is your favorite song?

Bye Bye by Mariah Carey, because it reminds me of my cousins who I am very close to.

Have you learned any new skills or hobbies during Covid?

I have learned cleaning takes a lot of time.

Do you have any pets, if so what are their names?

Dogs
I have two chihuahuas (Tina and Rebel) and one puppy german shepherd named Loki.

When you have to stay inside and workout, what do you do?

Resistence Band
I use my resistance bands and do a lot of leg workouts, then do ab workouts as well, then end with either 100/200 push-ups. It depends on my arms that day.
