ARCATA, Calif..--- Humboldt State will return to the court this Saturday, February 22 when the Lumberjacks travel to Turlock for a 5:30pm scheduled conference game with Stanislaus State. The Lumberjacks have won their last four games in a row and six of their last eight games to improve to 15-10 overall and 11-9 in the CCAA.
RECAP OF HSU'S LAST GAMES: The Lumberjacks went 2-0 this past weekend in their trip to the Bay Area. They started off with an 81-45 win at San Francisco State behind
Alexia Thrower and
Molly Dixon each with 19 points.
Gabrielle Carbajal added 12 points while
Tyra Turner scored 10 points and had a career high nine steals. Then on Saturday in Rohnert Park, HSU defeated Sonoma State 74-73 on a tip-in by
Molly Dixon with 0.4 seconds left in the game. Thrower paced HSU with a career high 36 points while Turner chipped in 18 points and Dixon added 12 points.
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS: Humboldt State is now 15-10 overall and 11-9 in the CCAA. The 'Jacks are tied for seventh place with Stanislaus State. They are percentage points out of sixth place (Chico State) and half-game out of fifth place (Sonoma State) and a game out of fourth place (Cal Poly Pomona).
Humboldt State is averaging 70.4 points per game while giving up 65.1 points per game. The Lumberjacks are being out-rebounded 37.4 to 31.9. Four players are averaging double digits in
Alexia Thrower (22.2 ppg),
Tyra Turner (11.2 ppg),
Molly Dixon (10.6 ppg and
Gabrielle Carbajal (10.4 ppg) with
Madeline Hatch next at 9.3 ppg.
Thrower leads the team with her 54% shooting from the field, 9.4 rebounding average and 12 blocked shots. Turner has dished out a team leading 114 assists while recording 50 steals. She also leads the team with her 81% shooting from the field. Hatch has made a team high 47 treys and connected on a team leading 73.5% of her attempts.
NATION'S LEADERS: The Humboldt State Lumberjack trio of

Tyra Turner are listed in this week's NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Statistical Leaders in seven individual categories. As a team, the Lumberjacks are second in the nation in fewest turnovers per game and third in fewest turnovers.
MOVIN' ON UP: Tyra Turner is moving on up the career lists at Humboldt State. She is second in assists (499), third in steals (234), sixth in free throws made (270) and seventh in points (1138).
Madeline Hatch is sixth with her 143 threes made in her career.
Alexia Thrower has scored 1033 points and grabbed 514 rebounds. She is ninth in points on HSU's all-time list
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Four Lumberjacks have recorded double-doubles this season in

Sandin Kidder and
Gabrielle Carbajal. Thrower has nine double-doubles while Carbajal, Kidder and Turner each have one.
11.2: Humboldt State is just turning the ball over 11.2 times per game while forcing 16.2 turnovers per game by its opponents. The Lumberjacks are recording 7.4 steals per game paced by

UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stanislaus State is 13-12 overall and 11-9 in the CCAA. The Warriors are 2-4 in their last six games. They are tied for seventh place with Humboldt State heading into the final two weeks of the regular season. Stanislaus State is averaging 69.9 points per game while giving up 66.2 points per game. The Warriors are being out-rebounded 38.2 to 37.0.
Kyanna Davis leads the way with her 13.0 scoring average, 83.5% shooting from the line, 7.1 rebounding average and 38 treys. Angelica Baylon has dished out a team high 123 assists while recording 69 steals. Lizzie Moore leads the team with her 21 blocked shots. Kaleigh Taylor has connected on a team high 48% of her shots from the field.
HSU won the first meeting 79-72 in early January in Arcata behind
Madeline Hatch's 18 points followed by
Alexia Thrower's 17 points. Kaleigh Taylor recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
