ARCATA, Calif.--- Cal Poly Humboldt's softball team will return home to host Cal State San Bernardino this weekend in a four-game series at the Cal Poly Humboldt Softball Field. The series will begin this Friday, April 15 with a 1pm starting doubleheader. The two teams will complete the series with an 11am starting doubleheader this Saturday, April 16. Saturday's doubleheader is
Evelyn Andrews Day in recognition of Andrews who was a softball player who passed away two years ago.
RECAP OF LAST SEVEN GAMES: Humboldt went 2-5 in its seven games in Turlock and San Rafael. The Jacks started the seven-game road trip on April 1 with a 4-1 loss to Western Washington.
Izzy Starr had two of Humboldt's five hits in its game against WWU.
Vanessa Saltos drove in the only Jack run. That evening, the Jacks defeated Hawai'i Pacific 5-1 as
Gaige Garcia (4-5) picked up the win with five strikeouts.
Micaela Harris had three hits and scored two runs while Starr also had two hits. On Saturday, Humboldt lost 9-5 to Hawai'i Hilo with
JoAna Mullins,
Katelyn Dendas and Starr going a combined six-for-11 with three runs scored and three runs batted in. Later that afternoon, Humboldt lost 9-3 to Azusa Pacific. Harris, Mullins and Starr went a combined six-for-12 with two runs batted in and a run scored and three stolen bases. The Jacks finished their weekend in Turlock with a 4-1 loss to then No. 1 Concordia. Starr had two hits and Harris stole three bases. Humboldt finished the weekend splitting a doubleheader with Dominican winning 3-1 in eight innings in game one. Harris drove in two runs and had two hits including a solo home run.
Karen Di Dio pitched a complete game victory, striking out one and walking one while giving up five hits and one unearned run. They finished their seven-game road trip with a 5-3 loss to the Penguins. Harris, Starr and
Katelyn Dendas went a combined eight-for-11 with two runs scored and two runs batted. Harris had a solo home run.

JoAna Mullins (.344). Harris has a team leading 46 runs scored, 58 hits, seven triples, .704 slugging percentage, .500 on-base percentage and 39 stolen bases. Starr leads the team with her 13 doubles and 32 runs batted in while
Vanessa Saltos has a team high nine home runs.
LUMBERJACKS PITCHING STAFF IN REVIEW: Humboldt's team earned run average is 6.12 with
Karen Di Dio leading the way with her team low 4.49 earned run average. She has a team leading 55 strikeouts and seven victories.
Gaige Garcia is next on the team with her 4.62 earned run average and four victories.
68 FOR 71: Micaela Harris is now 68-for-71 in stolen base attempts since 2020. She went 18 for 18 in 2020, 11 for 11 in 2021 and is 29 for 31 this season. For her career, Harris is 104 for 112 in stolen base attempts. The senior outfielder/catcher is third on the Lumberjacks' all-time career list. She is sixth on the top ten single season list at Humboldt.

She is also tied for sixth in home runs, ninth in slugging percentage and tenth in batting average. Saltos is leading the conference in home runs while she is tied for seventh in runs batted in and tenth in slugging percentage. Mullins is tied for seventh in runs batted while Di Dio is tied for ninth in strikeouts and ninth in innings pitched.
Harris is second in the nation in stolen bases, fifth in stolen bases per game while she is seventh in triples.

BACK HOME: Humboldt will be in the Bay Area next week for its final road trip of the regular season. The Jacks will face San Francisco State for a four-game series, April 22-23, in San Francisco. The Jacks will return home for their final four-game series on April 29-30 against Cal State San Marcos.
