LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cal Poly Humboldt softball's Micaela Harris was named to the 2022 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-West Region Team. Harris was named a First Team honoree as voted on by the region's softball head coaches which consists of institutions in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the PacWest Conference.
 
This is the first time in her collegiate career that Harris has been selected to the NFCA All-West Region Team.  Earlier this month, Harris was named to the All-CCAA Softball First Team.  Back in early spring, the Rocklin, Calif., native was selected to the NFCA/Schutt Sports Top 50 Player/Pitcher of the Year Watch List.
 
Harris was a Second Team All-CCAA honoree in 2018 and a 2020 CCAA All-Star recipient.  This past season, she hit .388 this season as she started in all 53 games for the Jacks.  Harris led the team with her 69 hits, 53 runs scored, seven triples and 48 stolen bases. 
 
In the recent NCAA Division II statistics, Harris is second in the nation in stolen bases and 18^th in triples.  She leads the CCAA in stolen bases while she is third in hits and triple.  The Jacks catcher is ninth in on-base percentage and batting average while she is tenth in slugging percentage.  Harris reached base safely in all but seven games this season for Humboldt.
 
Her 48 stolen bases this season places her fourth on the Jacks' single season list. She is third on the career list in stolen bases with 113.
