Micaela Harris was named to the 2022 NFCA All-American Team. She is the 48
th All-American in Lumberjack softball history. This is the second consecutive season that a Jack has been named an All-American as
Izzy Starr was selected to the 2021 NFCA All-American Second Team.
Harris is a Third Team selection after leading the Jacks with her 69 hits, 48 stolen bases, seven triples and 53 runs scored. She is one of two Jacks that started in all 53 games this season. Besides those numbers, the Rocklin, Calif., native had a .388 batting average while driving in 22 runs with eight doubles and five home runs.
Heading into the NCAA Division II Super Regionals, Harris was third in stolen bases, sixth in stolen bases per game and 19
th in triples in the nation. She led the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in stolen bases and was third in triples, sixth in hits, seventh in batting average and on-base percentage and tenth in in slugging percentage.
Harris is in the Lumberjack career and single season record books. She is third with her 113 stolen bases and 13 triples and eighth with her 172 runs in the career books. Her 48 stolen bases this season ties her for fourth and her seven triples ties her for fifth in the single season books.
This season, she had 20 multiple-hit games and five multiple-run batted in games. She was 48-for-52 in stolen base attempts including going three-for-three on April 2 against nationally ranked Concordia Irvine. Harris had a 16-consecutive game streak that she reached base safely from March 4 until April 1. She also had a 13-game hitting streak during that span.
This is Harris' fourth post-season team that she has been named to in the last month. She was named to the First Team All-CCAA Team, NFCA All-West Region First Team and the D2CCA All-West Region First Team.
