40th Annual Swing for the Jacks Moved to October 29

Swing for the Jacks Golf Classic Rescheduled for Oct. 29
Cal Poly Humboldt has rescheduled its 40th Annual Swing for the Jacks Golf Classic.  The event date has been adjusted due to an existing conflict at Baywood Golf & Country Club.  The 40th Annual Swing for the Jacks Golf Classic is set for Saturday, October 29, 2022.  Registration and check-in begin at 8:45 a.m., with a shotgun start set for 10:00 a.m.  We invite Lumberjacks everywhere to join us for a memorable day of golf, beverages, food and fellowship with Cal Poly Humboldt coaches and student-athletes.

"Cal Poly Humboldt is thrilled to host the 40th annual Swing for the Jacks Golf Classic," said Cooper Jones, Executive Director for Intercollegiate Athletics & Campus Recreation.  "This event has been a staple of the Humboldt County community.  And, coming out of the pandemic our coaches and student-athletes are looking forward to reconnecting with Lumberjack friends and fans for this exciting event."

A new addition to the 2022 event will be a VIP Cocktail Reception that will take place Friday evening (10/29) at Baywood Golf & Country Club.  More details on the VIP Cocktail Reception will be shared in the coming weeks.

"The Swing for the Jacks golf classic is one of our most important events of the year," said Jones.  "The dollars raised during this important event in support of the Lumberjacks goes towards athletics scholarships, team travel, operational expenses and health and well-being initiatives." 

TOURNAMENT PRICES
  • Individual - $175
  • Foursome - $700
    • Fee includes green fee, cart rental, driving range & balls, BBQ lunch, pin prizes, a ticket to the VIP Cocktail Reception and tournament/team awards

DRESS CODE
We're excited to host our tournament at Baywood Golf & Country Club.  Proper event attire would be:
  • Shirts must have sleeves and collars for males. No T-shirts or tank tops are allowed.
  • Sleeveless blouses are permitted for females. No halter tops or bare midriffs allowed.
  • No athletic shorts, spandex pants, or cutoffs allowed. As a guide, shorts should be no shorter than mid-thigh.
  • Proper athletic shoes must be worn at all times.
