ARCATA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Humboldt community will gather to honor the life and legacy of longtime head athletic trainer Shannon Childs during a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 6, at Cal Poly Humboldt.

Shannon dedicated his career to the health, well-being, and success of Lumberjack student-athletes, leaving a lasting impact on generations of athletes, coaches, colleagues, students, and friends. His compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to those he served made him a cherished member of the Cal Poly Humboldt family.

Family, friends, alumni, former student-athletes, and members of the campus and local community are invited to come together to celebrate Shannon's remarkable life, share memories, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
