2022-23 ACADEMIC YEAR IS HERE
Today, August 22, is the first day of class for the 2022 Fall Semester at Cal Poly Humboldt.  With that being said, Cal Poly Humboldt Department of Athletics is ready to begin their seasons with the fall sports in men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's cross country and women's triathlon.  For updated information on Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics, go to www.humboldtathletics.com.
 
MEN'S SOCCER STARTS THIS THURSDAY AT HOME
Cal Poly Humboldt men's soccer team, under the guidance of head coach Fred Jungemann, will begin their 2022 season this Thursday, August 25 at 3pm hosting Northwest Nazarene.  This will be the Jacks' regular season home opener at College Creek and the beginning of a two-game home-stand. Humboldt will host Holy Names this Saturday, August 27 at 11:30am.  After this weekend, the Jacks will travel to Hawai'i for two matches against NCAA Division II West Region foes.  Humboldt will be in Honolulu for a 7pm (HT) match with Hawai'i Pacific on September 1.  The Jacks will finish off their Hawai'i trip at Hawai'i Hilo on September 4 at 11am (HT).
 
VOLLEYBALL BEGINS ON THE ROAD AT THE GREEN CHILE CLASSIC
The Angela Spoja ERA in Lumberjack volleyball will begin this Thursday-Friday, August 25-26 in Silver City, New Mexico, at the Green Chile Classic.  The Jacks will face the host, Western New Mexico, at 6pm (MT) on August 25.  They will conclude their week with a pair of matches on August 26. Humboldt will face Holy Names at 9am (MT) and Wisconsin-Parkside at 11am (MT). After their trip to New Mexico, the Jacks will return to the court on September 8 for their CCAA and home opener on September 8 at 5pm against Cal State East Bay.
 
LUMBERJACK WOMEN'S SOCCER TO BEGIN THEIR SEASON ON THE ROAD
The Lumberjack women's soccer team, under the tutelage of head coach Grant Landy, will start their 2022 regular season this Thursday, August 25 at 7pm at Fresno Pacific.  The Jacks will conclude their two-game road trip in San Rafael this Saturday, August 27 for a 1pm match with Dominican (Calif.).  Humboldt will have its home opener on September 1 at 4:30pm when the Jacks host William Jessup.
 
CROSS COUNTRY TO HOST JIM HUNT HUMBOLDT INVITATIONAL ON SEPTEMBER 17
Cal Poly Humboldt men's and women's cross country teams will begin their seasons on September 17 in McKinleyville hosting the Jim Hunt Humboldt Invitational at Beau Pre Golf Club.  The invitational is scheduled to start at 8:30am.  This will be the first of four invitationals for the Jacks prior to the CCAA Championships on November 5 in Carmel, Calif.
 
HUMBOLDT TRIATHLON TO BEGIN SEPTEMBER 11 IN OREGON
The Lumberjack women's triathlon team will begin their first season of competition on September 11 in Sweet Home, Oregon, at the Best of the West Sprint Triathlon.  This will be the first of three triathlons for the Jacks, under the guidance of head coach Kinsey Laine.  They will be at the Oktoberfest Sprint Triathlon (September 25, Longmont, Colorado) and the West Region National Qualifier (October 15, Stockton, Missouri).  The Jacks will be looking to qualify for the Women's Collegiate National Triathlon Championships on November 12 in Tempe, Arizona.
 
40^th ANNUAL SWING FOR THE JACKS GOLF CLASSIC SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 29
Cal Poly Humboldt has rescheduled its 40^th Annual Swing for the Jacks Golf Classic.  The event date has been adjusted due to an existing conflict at Baywood Golf & Country Club.  The 40th Annual Swing for the Jacks Golf Classic is set for Saturday, October 29, 2022.  Registration and check-in begin at 8:45 a.m., with a shotgun start set for 10:00 a.m. To register for a foursome or to be a sponsor, click here.
