ARCATA, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach DJ Broome officially announced on Monday the signing of junior guard Brandon Bento-Jackson.
"I'm really excited to add Brandon to our program," said Broome. "He's one of the hardest workers I've ever been around, and he understands how special this program and community are. We are excited about the instant impact he will have on the program."
Bento-Jackson returns to Cal Poly Humboldt after spending the 2024–25 season at San Diego City College, where he appeared in 27 games and averaged 7.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Prior to his time in San Diego, Bento-Jackson played his first collegiate season with the Lumberjacks, leading the team in three-pointers made (45) and tying for the most games played (27) as a freshman.
A local standout from Arcata High School, Bento-Jackson enjoyed a decorated high school career, surpassing the 1,000-point milestone with 1,035 career points. His honors include:
