POMONA, Calif. - Cal Poly Humboldt volleyball concluded its Southern California road trip with a three-set loss to Cal Poly Pomona in the Cal Poly Clash on Saturday afternoon inside Kellogg Arena.
The Broncos won the CCAA matchup by set scores of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-14.
Humboldt recorded 10 kills during the opening set, its highest total of the match, while hitting .154. Cal Poly Pomona pulled away to take the frame, 25-17, before claiming the second set, 25-11.
The Lumberjacks produced eight kills during the third set but were unable to extend the match as the Broncos secured a 25-14 victory.
Emma Fauth led Humboldt with seven kills while committing just one error on 17 attacks for a .353 hitting percentage. Fauth also contributed six digs and one assist.
Avary Spoja added three kills on nine attempts and hit .222.
Graysen Trupp finished with three kills, while
Sadie Scott,
Phoebe Bland and
Addison Bookstaber recorded two apiece.
Brielle Wilson directed the offense with 10 assists and recorded Humboldt's lone service ace.
Claire Crawford added six assists and four digs.
Kendall Fenstermacher anchored the back row with a match-high 10 digs.
Elizabeth Jade Andrade added three digs and one assist.
Isabella Hartwig led Humboldt at the net with two solo blocks. Scott recorded one solo block and one block assist, while Bland added a block assist.
The Lumberjacks finished with 21 kills, 18 assists, 24 digs, four total blocks and one service ace.
The result moved Humboldt to 10-11 overall and 4-7 in CCAA play.

Humboldt will return to Lumberjack Arena on Thursday, Nov. 5, to host Cal State East Bay at 2 p.m. for Native American Heritage Night.
