TURLOCK, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt closed out its 2026 regular season with a split in Saturday's doubleheader at Stanislaus State, run-ruling the Warriors 9-1 in six innings in the opener before falling 5-4 in the finale. With the results, the Lumberjacks head into the postseason at 25-26 overall and 16-14 in CCAA play.
Humboldt's postseason position was already secured after Friday's action, as the 'Jacks clinched their first CCAA Tournament berth since 2017. Saturday's results further solidified their standing, earning the No. 3 seed and allowing Humboldt to avoid the tournament's play-in game.
The Lumberjacks will now face No. 2 seed and tournament host Cal State East Bay on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from Pioneer Softball Field in Hayward. The double-elimination CCAA Tournament runs Wednesday through Saturday.
GAME 1: Cal Poly Humboldt 9, Stanislaus State 1 (6 innings)
Humboldt's offense erupted for 15 hits while Lily Fournier delivered a dominant performance in the circle to secure her 14th win of the season.
Fournier (14-12) went the distance in the six-inning run-rule victory, allowing just one unearned run on eight hits while striking out seven and walking one.
After two scoreless innings, the 'Jacks broke through in the third. Shelby Shanks drove in the first run with a single, Katlyn Gifford added a sacrifice fly, and Rylee Banks capped the frame with an RBI single to make it 3-0.
Humboldt blew the game open in the sixth, plating six runs. Marissa Brody and Gifford each drove in runs with singles, Banks added another RBI via a sacrifice fly, and Marisol Gomez contributed an RBI single. Alexa Garcia delivered the biggest blow with a two-run double to extend the lead to 9-0.
Offensively, every Lumberjack in the lineup reached base. Alyssa Ramirez led the way with a 4-for-5 performance and two runs scored, while Bella Garcia added two hits and two runs. Shanks (2-for-4, RBI), Banks (2-for-3, two RBI), and Gifford (two RBI) paced the middle of the order. Brody, Matea Muraoka, Gomez, and Alexa Garcia each contributed hits in the 15-hit effort.
GAME 2: Stanislaus State 5, Cal Poly Humboldt 4
The Lumberjacks jumped out early but couldn't hold off a late push from the Warriors in the series finale.
Humboldt struck first in the opening inning as Gifford delivered a two-run double to score Brody and Shanks. The 'Jacks added two more in the fourth, highlighted by an RBI single from Alexa Garcia and a run scoring on a Stan State error to take a 4-1 lead.
Stanislaus State chipped away in the fifth with a two-run home run before capitalizing on defensive miscues in the sixth to plate the go-ahead runs.
Humboldt finished with nine hits in the loss. Banks led the way with a 2-for-3 effort, while Alexa Garcia also recorded two hits and an RBI. Gifford drove in two runs, and Ramirez, Shanks, Brody, and Lauren Aubrey each added hits.

With the regular season complete, Humboldt turns its focus to postseason play. The No. 3 seeded Lumberjacks will take on No. 2 seed Cal State East Bay on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Hayward to open the CCAA Tournament, marking the program's first postseason appearance since 2017.
