ARCATA, Calif. – In just two months, Cal Poly Humboldt will host the annual Jim Hunt Invitational at Beau Pre Golf Club, welcoming collegiate cross country teams from across the region for one of the North Coast's premier racing events and the Lumberjacks lone home meet of the season. The meet will also feature a high school section for the first time in its history.

The Jim Hunt Invitational offers fans the chance to watch runners throughout multiple points of each race while enjoying the beautiful setting of Beau Pre Golf Club. If you are a longtime Lumberjack supporter or looking to experience collegiate cross country for the first time, the Jim Hunt Invitational is a great opportunity to cheer on the Green and Gold for their first meet of the season as well as their sole home meet of the year.

"We're excited to kick off the season at home" said Head Coach Michael Schroer. "The Jim Hunt Invitational is a great event for the Humboldt community and we can't wait to see them out supporting the Green and Gold and high school athletes."

Mark your calendars and join Cal Poly Humboldt cross country on Saturday, Sept. 12, as the Lumberjacks kick off the season on their home course.
