Biography

HUMBOLDT STATE: In his final season playing for the Lumberjacks.

2011 - Appeared in all 18 games and started 15  ... tallied two assists ... fired 12 shots on the season and five on goal.

2010 - Logged action in 13 games with four starts ... booted four shots on net ... assisted a goal in a 5-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay.

2009 - Played in nine games as a reserve ... kicked six shots and five on goal ... registered a season-high two shots on-goal at Cal State East Bay.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years at Northgate High (Walnut Creek, Calif.) ... captained the Broncos as a senior ... selected as team MVP and Gold Boot winner ... earned All-Diablo Valley League first team honors as senior and honorable mention as junior ... also lettered in track and field and cross country once each sport.

PERSONAL: Born June 30, 1991 ... parents are Ellen and William Mariani ... majoring in kinesiology ... brother, Scott, also played for the Lumberjacks soccer team ... part of the three-time Cal North State Cup Championship DVSC Black Pearl '90 team. Team also claim a pair of regional titles and finished second at the 2005 nationals.
