2011: Appeared in 85 sets as a freshman ... registered 48 kills off 158 total attacks ... second on the team in total blocks with 70 ... made 12 defensive digs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played volleyball at Vista (Calif.) High ... was a member of the 2010 San Diego Tribune’s all-academic team ... was on the Vista High Honor Roll and received the Vice Principal's Student of the Year award.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 25, 1992, in Oceanside, Calif. ... parents are Dirk Ackema and Jane Marshall ... majoring in ecology/biodiversity ... enjoys being outdoors, riding her bike, backpacking, dancing and doing ceramics.
