Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

HUMBOLDT (2022):  Started in 31 of the 39 games she played in at first base, pitcher or designated player....Had 19 hits of which two were doubles and one a home run...Her home run came against Cal State Dominguez Hills (Feb. 19)....Had three multiple-hit games...Drove in six runs and scored nine runs...Had 93 putouts with nine assists and four errors....Appeared in the circle seven times with one start...Had seven strikeouts in 14.2 innings pitched...Named to Department of Athletics' Presidential Scholar List in the Fall...(2021):  Appeared in three games in the circle for HSU during the pandemic...Named to Department of Athletics' Dean's List in the Fall and Presidential Scholar List in the Spring...(2020): Appeared in nine games including three starts in the circle…Recorded 10 strikeouts in 19.2 innings pitched….Hit .571 in 11 games….Had four hits in seven at bats while driving in three runs and scoring one…Had a .571 slugging and on-base percentages after transferring from UC Santa Barbara.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Atwater High School in 2019…. Escobar was the Falcons top pitcher during her junior and senior seasons…The right-hander was 12-5 with a 1.29 ERA during her senior season  to help Atwater reach the playoffs. She was 12-2 her junior year with a 1.57 ERA....She started at shortstop her first two years on varsity. She hit .446 this season...
Escobar compiled a 4.09 GPA and also played volleyball and was a member of Future Farmers of America all four years of high school.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Brian and Kori Escobar….Aunt Dawn Valenta was a member of the HSU Softball Team.
