HUMBOLDT (2024-25): All-CCAA First Team...CCAA Player of the Week (2/3-2/9)...Named to the CCAA Men's Basketball Preseaon Watchlist...5x Lumberjack of the Week...Started in all 29 games this season, leading the team with 956 minutes...Ranked sixth in conference with 16 points per game, totaling 465 on the year...Recorded a .517 percentage shooting, with 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game...Second on the team with 53 steals, and third on the team with 26 blocks... Reached a new career high against CSUSB with 27 points (2/1)...(2023-24): CCAA Freshman of the Year...All-CCAA Honorable Mention...Diaz led all true freshman with 12.5 points, 67 assists, and 37 steals...Recorded a .454 percent shooting, added 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game...The 6-1 guard reached double-figures 19 times and had five, 20-point games, which included posting a career-high 24 points against Cal State Monterey Bay....Diaz also ranked sixth in the CCAA with 1.48 steals per game..Led the team in the following categories: points, points per game, assists, assists per game, steals, steals per game, minutes, and minutes per game....He was the only player to score more than 300 points for the 'Jacks this season. 

PRIOR TO HUMBOLDT: Diaz, a 6'2" guard and JSerra Catholic HS graduate, comes to Cal Poly Humboldt from LA Premier Prep where he was the top scorer and averaged 27.6 points per game this past season. At JSerra, Diaz was named First Team D1 All-CIF, First Team All-Trinity League, and First Team All-Orange County. He averaged 18.1 points per game (PPG), 5.2 rebounds per game (RPG), 2.5 assists per game (APG), and 2.1 steals per game (SPG) his senior year of high school. In the CIF Division 1 playoffs, Diaz averaged 23.6 PPG on 50 percent shooting, 5.9 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 1.7 SPG over seven games. The JSerra standout had 37-point outburst against Fairfax to help secure a first-round win in the playoffs.
