ARCATA - After splitting two home matches last weekend, the Humboldt State volleyball team hits the road as it continues the second round of California Collegiate Athletic Association play. The Jacks travel to Los Angeles to take on Cal State L.A.
Friday and then travel to Carson,
Saturday to play Cal State Dominquez Hills. Both matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.

Lumberjack Notes: The Lumberjacks spilt the weekend with a 3-2 victory over Cal State Stanislaus before falling in three sets to Chico State. Danielle Wells is now No. 4 among CCAA palyers in blocks per game, joining teammate
Toni Kroeker, who put away 13 blocks on the weekend to remain in the No. 3 spot in the CCAA. Continuing to dominate the net, Humboldt State is second in the CCAA in team blocking average. …After tough competition last week two players have etched their names into the HSU career records book for their first time.
Lynsey Adams is steady at the No. 9 slot for career kills (711) whereas Kroeker drops in at No. 8 for single season blocks (78).
Liz Shannon is 12 assists away from making the career assist list while Wells, who currently tops HSU's single season blocks record with 128, is seven blocks away from making her second appearance.
Opponents Notes: Nationally ranked No. 14 Cal State L.A. is 16-3 overall record and 9-3 in the CCAA. The Golden Eagles are currently on a six-match winning streak after defeating UC San Diego, who fell three spots to No. 16 (in national rankings), in five sets and then swept CS Dominguez Hills in three. Locked in a four-way for second in league, the Golden Eagles also make an appearance in various conference statistical categories. The Eagles are second in the CCAA with a .221 hitting percentage, while ranking third and fourth in assists and blocks, respectively. …Junior Gabriela Bulawczyk leads the team with a 3.95 kills per set and 3.31 digs per set average. Cal State L.A. has two players averaging big numbers on the offensive side in Kaylynne De La Rosa and Keslie Brown, who post 5.09 and 5.02 assists per set, respectively. Amy McMahon leads the conference in blocking (1.22 blocks per set). …Cal State Dominquez Hills continues to struggle, and is currently 1-19 overall record and a winless at 0-12 in the CCAA. …Leading the Toros in individual categories are Marissa Anderson (1.92 kills per set), Rebekah Wolfgramm (4.76 assists per set) and Melissa Velasco (3.20 digs per set).
