Oceana Matsubu led the Humboldt State volleyball team with double-digit kills and
Joliann Arzadon pitched in with 22 assists, but the Jacks lost in four games to the Pioneers of Cal State East Bay 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22 on Friday night.
The loss leaves the Jacks overall record at 7-22, 3-18 in California Collegiate Athletic Association action. CSU East Bay is 10-20, 8-13 in conference matches.
Matsubu, who had 11 kills, leads the Jacks on the season with 313 and recorded her third straight match of double-digit kills. She added seven digs and three blocks, one solo and two assists.
In addition to her 22 assists, Arzadon added a service ace and three digs.
Caitlin Dugan and
Dani Nelson led the HSU defense with 14 and 13 digs respectively.
The Jacks finish the season on Saturday night La Jolla. They face the Tritons of UC San Diego with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m.
