ARCATA, Calif. – Humboldt State volleyball forced a fifth set but fell short to visiting Sonoma State 3-2 (25-18, 18-25, 25-15, 21-25, 11-15) Friday evening in Lumberjack Arena.
The Lumberjacks fell to 8-8 overall and 3-5 in conference action.
Symone Hayden led the Green and Gold with 22 kills and 15 digs. The Jacks compiled a .229 hitting percentage in the loss.
Alex Lolland and
Nicole Bewley each had double-digit kills with 12 and 13, respectively.
Jessica Lammers provided a team-high 30 assists, three shy of her season best.
The Seawolves (7-9, 5-4 CCAA) finished the game with seven total blocks. Emily Papale and Rachel Andrews had four block assists apiece, and Andrews had one of the team's three solo blocks.
HSU hosts San Francisco State Saturday at 7 p.m.
