Volleyball Falls to Warriors in Straight Sets

TURLOCK, Calif. – Humboldt State volleyball lost to Stanislaus State 3-0 (18-25, 11-25, 20-25) Saturday evening.

"Tonight we played poorly across the board," said Head Coach Kelly Wood. "We have to come out with more focus and energy tomorrow versus San Francisco State. Tonight was a disappointment after the way we played last night against Chico."

The Lumberjacks slipped to 3-17 overall and 2-12 against California Collegiate Athletic Association opponents. HSU extended its losing streak to seven straight.

Neither team compiled solid hitting percentages Saturday, but the Green and Gold hit just .027 versus the Warriors. Alex Lolland led HSU with nine kills, Taylor Yancey had a team-high 12 assists and Sarah Shively had 10 digs.

HSU aims to snap its streak when it visits San Francisco State Sunday at 4 p.m.
