BELMONT, Calif. – Despite an uplifting win yesterday, the Lumberjacks failed to match Notre Dame de Namur in a 3-0 loss in Friday's game two of the NorCal Volleyball Classic.
"We lost a tough one this morning to Notre Dame," said Head Coach
Kelly Wood. "We had opportunities in the first and second sets and we were unable to execute both times. This weekend we are working on figuring a lot out. We are adjusting lineups and trying to find the right balance with our offense. We have two more matches this weekend. We'll spend today resting and we will be ready for tomorrow."
The Jacks (1-1) hung with the Argonauts in the first set, losing 25-22. HSU kept it close in the second set but Notre Dame went on 7-1 run and won 25-23. The third set proved to be a struggle for the Jacks as they lost 25-14 and registered a .054 hitting percentage.
Setter
