ARCATA, Calif.--- Humboldt State's volleyball team will conclude their home stand this weekend with a pair of CCAA matches this Friday and Saturday, November 1 and 2. HSU will host Chico State this Friday at 7pm and Stanislaus State this Saturday at 5pm in Lumberjack Arena.
RECAP OF LUMBERJACK VOLLEYBALL: Humboldt State went 0-2 last weekend to begin its home stand. The Lumberjacks lost a five-set nail biter (22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 11-15) to Cal State San Marcos this past Thursday evening. Leading the way for HSU was
Lexi Riggs with her 20 kills while
Lenox Loving had 18 and
Summer Hansen added 13. Hansen and
Malia Coyle each had five total blocks while
Juliana Bertolucci had 49 assists. Leading the way in digs for HSU were
Odelia Ryan with 26 followed by Loving with 12 and Bertolucci with 10. The Lumberjacks finished the weekend with a three-set loss (17-25, 18-25, 21-25) to UC San Diego on Friday. Loving paced HSU with her 10 kills with Ryan recording a team high 12 digs.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Four Lumberjacks have recorded double-doubles in either kills and digs or assists and digs this season in
Juliana Bertolucci,
Lenox Loving,
Lexi Riggs and
Riley Tishlarich. Loving leads the way with seven while Riggs has three. Tishlarich and Bertolucci each have recorded two double-doubles this season. Loving's and Riggs' double-doubles are in digs and kills while Tishlarich and Bertolucci are in assists and digs.
LUMBERJACKS IN REVIEW: After going 0-2 last weekend, Humboldt State is now 5-13 overall and 1-10 in the CCAA.
Lenox Loving leads the way for HSU with her 180 kills followed by
Summer Hansen's 169 and
Lexi Riggs with 116. Leading the way with her 309 assists is
Riley Tishlarich followed by
Juliana Bertolucci's 254.
Carla Crespo has a team high 23 assists with
Emma Flewell four behind with 19.
Odelia Ryan leads HSU with her 288 digs while
Lenox Loving has 157 and
Kayla Costello has 111. Flewell also leads the 'Jacks with her 53 total blocks followed by Coyle's 35.
UPDATE ON THE WILDCATS: Chico State is 10-10 overall and 6-6 in the CCAA after losing its last four matches in a row. Kim Wright leads the Wildcats with her 277 kills, 28 aces and 69 total blocks while Brooke Fogel has a team high 266 digs. Brooke Ono leads Chico State with her 826 assists. The Wildcats lead the all-time series with HSU 23-4 including winning the first meeting this season in Chico in four sets (23-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-16).
Summer Hansen paced HSU with her 11 kills while
Riley Tishlarich has 22 assists and 10 digs.
Odelia Ryan added 14 digs for the 'Jacks. Kim Wright lead Chico State with her 18 kills and four service aces.
WARRIORS IN REVIEW: Stanislaus State is now 12-7 overall and 7-5 in the CCAA after going 1-1 last weekend in its two matches. Rachel Klopfer leads the Warriors with her 156 kills followed by Yisel Perez's 150. Krista Hernandez has a team high 276 digs with Breanna Cannon recording a team high 435 assists. Leading the way with her 73 total blocks is Kiera Erving and Jordon Wilson has 61. Wilson also has a team high 22 service aces. The Warriors lead the all-time series with HSU 16-11 including defeating the Lumberjacks in three sets (16-25, 17-25, 18-25) in Turlock on October 4. Klopfer paced Stanislaus State with her 12 kills while Eyriana Eatman added 19 assists.
Summer Hansen had a team high eight kills for HSU with Riley Tishlarch recording a team high 17 assists.
