TURLOCK, Calif.--- The visiting Humboldt State Lumberjacks fell in three sets to the Stanislaus State Warriors in a CCAA match-up in Turlock, Calif., (16-25, 17-25, 18-25). With the win, Stanislaus State improves to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the CCAA. Humboldt State will end its three-game road trip tomorrow evening with a 5pm match-up in Chico, Calif., against Chico State.

Emma Flewell had one of better nights this evening with seven kills and hitting .312. She also had two aces and three blocks.
FIRST SET: The first set was even until as a kill by
Emma Flewell tied the match at 10-10. The Warriors scored the next ten points to take a 20-10. A kill by
Lenox Loving off an assist from
Riley Tishlarich cut HSU's deficit to 20-11. The Lumberjacks scored the next three points to cut into the Warrior lead even more, 20-14. HSU cut its deficit to 21-16 on a block by
Hannah Cantrell, but Stanislaus State scored the final four points of the set to take the first set 25-16.
SECOND SET: Stanislaus State scored twelve of the second set's first 17 points to take a 12-5 lead. The hosts increased the lead to 15-6, but the Lumberjacks would not go away as they scored the next six points to cut the Warrior lead to 15-12 capped by a combined block by Flewell and
Malia Coyle. The Warriors finished off the set by taking ten of the final fifteen points to take the set 25-17. Stanislaus State entered the third set with a 2-0 advantage.
THIRD SET: The hosts came out in the third set and took a 6-2 lead. A combined block by
Summer Hansen and Flewell made it Stanislaus 6-4. The Warriors increased their lead to 10-5, but once against the Lumberjacks cut the deficit to just two (10-8) capped by a Flewell ace. HSU scored two of the next three points to cut the Stanislaus lead to 11-10. Stanislaus State increased its lead to 22-15 on a kill by Jordon Wilson, but once against the 'Jacks would not go away as they scored the next three points to cut their deficit to 22-17. The hosts scored three of the final four points of the set to take the set 25-18 and the match 3-0.
LUMBERJACK LEADERS: Humboldt State (5-7, 1-4 CCAA) was led by
Summer Hansen with eight kills and
Emma Flewell with seven followed by
Lenox Loving's six. Flewell also had two service aces and three blocks.
Hannah Cantrell also had three blocks while
Riley Tishlarich had 17 assists.
Odelia Ryan along with Loving and Tishlarich each had seven digs.
