HSU To End 2019 At Home Capped by Senior Day this Saturday

ARCATA, Calif.---  The Humboldt State men's soccer team will end their 2019 season this week with a pair of CCAA matches at College Creek Field.  The Lumberjacks will host Cal State Dominguez Hills this Thursday, November 7 at 3pm.  HSU will end its 2019 season this Saturday, November 9 when the Lumberjacks host Cal State Los Angeles at 3pm.  Prior to the match on Saturday, HSU will recognize its seniors in Gus Baxter, Isaiah Dairo, Israel Gonzalez, Rudi McClellan, Robert Quintero and Dalton Rice in a pre-game ceremony.
 
RECAP OF HSU'S LAST MATCH:  Humboldt State scored three unanswered goals in the second half to key its 3-1 come-from-behind win over SF State this past Saturday at home.  The Lumberjacks' first goal came from Isaiah Dairo off a ball from Devon Hauenstein.  Marco Silveira scored what proved to be the game-winner off a ball from Rudi McClellan.  Silveira also assisted on HSU's third goal on a ball to Dalton RiceTab Heinz had four saves in goal for the 'Jacks.
 
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS:  HSU enters its final weekend with a 7-8 overall record including a 3-7 CCAA record.  Isaiah Dairo leads the Lumberjacks with his ten goals to go with his two assists for a team leading 22 points.  Marco Silveira is second on the team with his 15 points (three goals and team leading nine assists) followed by Gus Baxter's 11 points (five goals and one assist).  Dalton Rice is third with four goals and two assists.

TOROS IN REVIEW:  Cal State Dominguez Hills is 4-9-1 overall and 3-6 in the CCAA.  Robert Roosen and Christian Djurasevic lead the way for the Toros each with three goals scored.  Julian Tafolia has posted a 2.20 goals against average with 37 saves.  CSUDH leads the all-time series 10-2 including winning last year's meeting 1-0 in Carson.  The Toros last win was during the 2013 season a 2-1 HSU victory.
 
GOLDEN EAGLES IN REVIEW:  The No 4 ranked Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles are 13-0-1 overall and 8-0-1 in the CCAA.  David Elizaga leads the way for CSULA with his six goals and four assists with a team leading 14 points.  Tim Klefish is right behind him with six goals, one assist and 13 points.  Alexander Brems has posted a 0.35 goals against average with 29 saves and a .853 saves percentage.
