Lumberjacks To Travel To Bay Area For Three Matches

ARCATA, Calif.---  Humboldt State's volleyball team will return to the court for three matches in the Bay Area.  The Lumberjacks will face San Francisco State this Friday, November 8 at 7pm in San Francisco.  HSU will travel across the Bay for two matches with Cal State East Bay on November 9 and 10.  Humboldt State will face the Pioneers on Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 1pm in Hayward.
 
HSU'S LAST MATCHES:  The Lumberjacks lost in five sets to Chico State on Friday evening at Lumberjack Arena (19-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17, 4-15).  Kim Wright led the Wildcats with 14 kills while Brooke Ono had 47 assists and Brooke Fogel had a team high 23 digs.  Summer Hansen paced HSU with 15 kills while Lenox Loving had 11 kills and 17 digs.  HSU lost in three sets (15-20, 20-25, 14-25) to Stanislaus State on Saturday as Hansen had 10 kills and Malia Coyle had a team blocks six total blocks.
 
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS:  Humboldt State is 5-15 overall and 1-12 in the GNAC.  The Lumberjacks are led by Lenox Loving's 199 kills with Summer Hansen recording 194 kills.  Riley Tishlarich has a team high 333 assists with Julia Bertolucci recording 288.  Carla Crespo leads HSU with 25 aces followed by Emma Flewell with 20.  Odelia Ryan has a team leading 329 digs and Flewell has a team high 49 total blocks. 
 
UDPATE ON THE GATORS:  San Francisco State is 14-7 overall and 7-5 in the CCAA.  Drew Morris leads SF State with her 244 kills followed by Trinity Barr with 203.  Payton Jensen leads the Gators with her 35 aces and 766 assists.  Bailey Johnson has recorded a team leading 53 blocks.  The Gators won the first meeting on October 12 in Arcata in four sets.  Summer Hansen had 12 kills while Lenox Loving added 10 kills and 20 digs to lead HSU.  The Gators lead the all-time series with HSU 16-8.
 
UPDATE ON THE PIONEERS:  Cal State East Bay is 5-15 overall and 4-8 in the CCAA.  The Pioneers are led by Kara Green with 206 kills while Eliza Cannon with 567 assists.  Sarah Stevebeck has a team leading 16 service aces and 245 digs.  CSUEB leads the all-time series 15-5 with the Lumberjacks last defeating the Pioneers 3-1 in 2017.  Sunday's match in Hayward is a make-up match from when the 'Jacks were supposed to host the Pioneers last week.
 
UP NEXT:  Humboldt State will have their Senior Day match on Tuesday, November 12 at 5pm when the 'Jacks host Sonoma State in Lumberjack Arena.  HSU will end its season on Friday, November 15 at 7pm in Seaside against Cal State Monterey Bay.
