QUOTES FROM THE COACH:  "Tonight was a good win for us," said head coach Michelle Bento-Jackson.  "There are definitely areas that we need to clean up on the defensive end, but for the first game, I thought our defense was fairly solid.  We'll enjoy this win tonight but we have a short turnaround and we need to prepare for a good Western Washington team."

THIRD QUARTER:  The Lumberjacks increased their lead in the second half to 39-32 on a three by Alexia Thrower off a pass from Ma'Ata Makoni in the first three minutes of the new quarter.  A jumper by Makoni off a pass from Thrower increased the hosts' lead to 52-36 with a minute left in the third quarter.  HSU took a 58-39 lead into the final quarter on back to back three's by Gabrielle Carbajal

FORUTH QUARTER:  A Molly Dixon lay-up gave HSU a 60-39 lead early in the final quarter.  A three by Madison Collins increased the hosts' lead to 65-43.  Seattle Pacific cut HSU's lead to 70-54 on a three by Bayley Brennan as the 'Jacks held on for the 70-54 victory.
