ARCATA, Calif.--- The Humboldt State Lumberjack volleyball team will begin a three-game road trip this Saturday afternoon with a 3pm CCAA match at Sonoma State in Rohnert Park, Calif. The Lumberjacks are coming a 1-2 home stand which they defeated Cal State Monterey Bay in their home opener this past Wednesday evening. HSU enters this week with a 5-5 overall record and a 1-2 CCAA record.
RECAP OF HSU'S LAST WEEK: The Lumberjacks started the week off with a four-set win (15-25, 25-17, 25-20, 27-25) over Cal State Monterey Bay on Wednesday afternoon.
Lenox Loving led the way for HSU With her 15 kills and 12 digs while
Summer Hansen had 11 kills.
Riley Tishlarich recorded 43 assists and three service aces and
Odelia Ryan had a team high 22 digs. On Thursday evening, HSU lost in four sets to Cal Poly Pomona (26-24, 21-25, 25-27, 14-25) despite Lexi Rigg's 13 kills and 11 digs while Loving added 13 kills and 12 digs. Ryan recorded 28 digs and Tishlarich had 32 assists. The Lumberjacks finished the week with a three-set loss to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday evening. Loving had eight kills and Ryan added 12 digs for the 'Jacks.
UPDATE ON THE LUMBERJACKS: After their first home stand of the 2019 season, the Lumberjacks are now 5-5 overall and 1-2 in the CCAA.

Riley Tishlarich leads HSU with her 210 assists and
Carla Crespo has a team leading 18 service aces.
Odelia Ryan has a team high 172 digs with
Emma Flewell recording a team high 31 total blocks.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Four different players have recorded double-doubles this season for Humboldt State in
Lenox Loving,
Lexi Riggs,
Juliana Bertolucci and
Riley Tishlarich. Loving has five, Riggs has three while Bertolucci and Tishlarich each have one.
CCAA RANKED: Five Humboldt State Lumberjacks are in the top ten in seven CCAA statistical categories.
Carla Crespo is second with her 18 service aces and 0.55 aces/set while
Odelia Ryan is second with her 172 total digs and 0.86 digs/set.
Emma Flewell is sixth with her 172 digs and
Summer Hansen is tenth with her 101 kills.

SEAWOLVES IN REVIEW: Sonoma State is 9-3 overall and 1-1 in the CCAA after splitting its CCAA opener last weekend. The Seawolves lost in three sets to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino and defeated Cal Poly Pomona in four sets. Kiana Richardson leads the Seawolves with her 101 kills and 31 total blocks while Bailey Palestini has a team high 88 kills. Jenna Miller has recorded a team leading 15 service aces. Ashleigh Phelps has a team leading 161 digs and Jenna Trephan leads SSU with her 269 assists.
SSU leads the all-time series with the Lumberjacks 22-5 including taking both games last year in three (15-25, 20-25, 10-25) in Arcata and in five in Rohnert Park (21-25, 26-24, 27-25, 17-25, 9-15). The last Lumberjack win over Sonoma State was a three-set win in Arcata on October 25, 2014. HSU's last win over Sonoma State in Rohnert Park a five-set win on September 22, 2007.
WHAT'S NEXT: After Saturday's game in Rohnert Park, Humboldt State will continue its three-game road trip with games at Stanislaus State (October 4) and Chico State (October 5). HSU will return home on October 10 when they face Cal State East Bay. All three games are set to start at 5pm.
