ROHNERT PARK, Calif.--- The Humboldt State Lumberjacks started their three-game road trip with a four-set loss at Rohnert Park, Calif., to the Sonoma State Seawolves (14-25, 25-20, 21-2, 15-24) this afternoon in a CCAA match-up.
Lenox Loving had 11 kills and
Hannah Cantrell added eight.
Odelia Ryan had 23 digs.
QUOTES FROM THE COACH: "We have to start playing consistent volleyball if we expect to come out on top of these tough conference match-ups," said coach
Kelly Wood. "We have stretches where we can play with anyone, but we struggle to sustain the high level of play. Some highlights for today:
Hannah Cantrell has been working on broadening her offensive skill set, and it paid off today. She had eight kills an only one error, and she also had four blocks. Lenox (Loving) led us with 11 kills and 14 digs, but we continue to relay a bit too heavily on her arm."
UP NEXT; Humboldt State continues its three-game road trip on Thursday, October 4 for a 5pm match at Stanislaus State. The 'Jacks will end their road trip a week from today with a 5pm match-up at Chico State.
