ARCATA, Calif--- The 13th ranked Humboldt State Lumberjacks will begin a three-match road trip this week with a pair of CCAA matches in Carson, Calif., and Seaside, Calif. The 'Jacks will face Cal State Dominguez Hills this Friday, October 8 at 4pm in Carson. They will travel to Seaside this Sunday, October 10 for a 11:30am starting match with the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters.

Fred Jungemann is in his ninth year on the sideline for the Lumberjacks. This year, Coach Jungemann's assistants are three former Lumberjacks in
Frankie Calderon, Phil Rouse and
Isaiah Dairo who will begin their first year on the Lumberjack coaching staff.
SHUTOUT/UNBEATEN STREAK SNAPPED: In last week's home CCAA matches, Lumberjacks saw their seven-match shutout streak snapped in their 1-0 loss to Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday afternoon. The 'Jacks also saw their seven-match unbeaten streak snapped in the loss to the Coyotes. The seven consecutive shutouts were a school record and tied a conference record. In their scoreless double overtime tie with Cal State Marcos, HSU saw its six-match winning streak snapped.
HSU started its weekend on Friday with a scoreless tie with Cal State San Marcos as
Adrian Gallardo had two saves as he recorded his sixth shutout of the season in goal for the 'Jacks. The Lumberjacks out-shot the Cougars 21-5 including 8-2 in shot on goals.
Daniel Adeyeye had three of HSU's shot on goal attempts. On Sunday afternoon, HSU lost 1-0 to Cal State San Bernardino when the Coyotes connected on a penalty kick in the 33rd minute. Gallardo had four saves in goal for HSU.
Marco Silveira had seven of HSU's 11 shot attempts including one on goal.
LEADERS:
Marco Silveira leads the 'Jacks with his team high four goals, six assists and 14 points. He is tied with Alejandro Lopez each with two game-winning goals.
Dylan Tovani has the other game-winner for HSU. Lopez has scored three goals and added an assist for his seven points.
Daniel Adeyeye and Herrera Land each have scored a goal and recorded three assists while Tovani has scored two goals.
Adrian Gallardo has posted a 0.14 goals against average in seven matches in goal with 20 saves and a .952 saves percentage with six shutouts.
Jacob Cotton had the start in HSU's 1-0 win over Simpson on September 17. The defenders that have helped Gallardo and Cotton to the 0.13 goals against average are

CCAA: Six Lumberjacks are in the top ten in the CCAA in statistics.
Marco Silveira leads the conference with his six assists and three game-winning goals. He is also second in points (16) and tied for fifth with his five goals.
Adrian Gallardo is first in the CCAA in goals against average (0.138), saves percentage (.952) and shutouts (six) while
Jacob Cotton is tied for eighth in shutouts.
Daniel Adeyeye is tied for fifth as is
Nico Herrera Land each with three and
Alex Lopez is tied for ninth in points (seven).
MOVING CLOSER:
Marco Silveira is two assists from moving past Billy Hansen into second place on HSU's all-time assist list. Kevin Wiese holds the career record with 30. Silveira has 20 assists during his career to go with his 13 goals in the Green and Gold. The senior forward is three goals from moving into tenth place on HSU's career goals list. He is four assists from moving past Paul Royere into fourth on HSU's single season assists list.
Adrian Gallardo is tied for eighth on HSU's single season shutout list.
CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS: The Toros are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the CCAA. They are led by Bah Suliaman's five goals while Brandon Lee has four goals including two game-winners. Alberto Carrillo has three assists to lead the way for CSUDH. Dylan De Baldo has posted a 1.05 goals against average with 27 saves and a .818 saves percentage and one shutout.
CSUDH leads the all-time series with the 'Jacks 10-3 with HSU winning the last meeting 2-1 in 2019 in Arcata. Current assistant coach
Isaiah Dairo scored both of the Lumberjacks' goals on assists from

Marco Silveira.
CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY: The Otters are 4-2-2 overall and 0-2 in the CCAA. Pablo Hernandez and Adrian Rebollar each lead CSUMB with his five goals and two assists. Rebollar has two of CSUMB's two game-winning goals. Colin O'Mahoney has four assists while Adrian Munoz has a 1.11 goals against average. He also has posted a .667 saves percentage with 18 saves and one shutout.
The Otters lead the all-time series with Humboldt State 10-9-2 with CSUMB winning the last meeting 2-1 in 2019 in Arcata. HSU last defeated the Otters 2-1 in 2018 in Arcata as Dairo was part of both goals. He assisted on HSU's first goal to Dalton Rice and scored off a ball from Max Steinmetz for the game-winning goal in the 87th minute.
UP NEXT: Humboldt State will continue its road trip with a 7pm match with Stanislaus State on October 14 in Turlock, Calif. HSU will return home on October 17 at 2pm when the 'Jacks host Cal State East Bay.
