Amari Green chipped in 10 points off the bench for HSU.
FIRST HALF: Cal State Monterey Bay (3-2, 2-0 CCAA) scored the first nine points of the game capped by a Levi Frankland three. An
Austin Harris lay-up capped a 9-3 run by the 'Jacks to cut the deficit to 12-9 just seven minutes into the game. CSUMB increased its lead to 25-10 on an Andrew Ferguson lay-up midway through the first half. The Otters took a 32-14 lead on a jumper by Franklin with seven minutes left in the first stanza. Humboldt State came back and cut the Otters lead to 39-29 on a jumper by
Amari Green with 80 seconds left in the half. The Otters scored the final three points of the half to take a 42-29 lead into the locker room.
SECOND HALF: Cal State Monterey Bay increased its lead to 47-29 on an old-fashioned three-point play by Tommy Kramer to start the second half. HSU outscored the Otters 14-6 in the next seven minutes to cut the guests' lead to 53-43 capped by an
Andrew Mork lay-up. CSUMB increased their lead to 66-53 on two free throws by Jailen Nelson with just 3:39 to go in regulation. Humboldt State (5-2, 0-2 CCAA) didn't go away as the 'Jacks finished the game on a 13-0 run to send the game tied at 66-66.
Bryce Mitchell scored the tying point going one-for-two from the line with just one second left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
OVERTIME: A
Will Johnson jumper just thirty seconds into the overtime gave HSU a 68-66 lead. The Otters tied the game at 68-68 on two free throws by Kyle Johnson. A
Bryce Mitchell jumper gave HSU back the lead, CSUMB scored the next five points to take a 73-70 lead with 90 seconds left in the overtime. A
Jaden Edwards' jumper cut CSUMB's lead to 73-72 on HSU's next possession. CSUMB increased its lead to three (75-72) on two Jailen Nelson free throws with just 41 seconds to go in the first overtime. HSU came right back and cut the deficit to 75-74 on a jumper by
Amari Green. CSUMB's Nelson made two free throws to increase the guests' lead to 77-74 with just nine seconds on the clock. HSU had a chance to tie the game, but the Otters' defense forced a turnover by the hosts as CSUMB took the 77-74 overtime win.
FOURTH DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Jaden Edwards recorded his second straight double-double and fourth of the season this evening. He scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He also had a blocked shot, two steals and an assist.
29-23: Humboldt State's bench outscored the Otters' bench 29-23 lead by
Amari Green with 10 points.

AJ Sims scored three points and
Austin Harris scored two points.
