REDDING, Calif.--- Humboldt State finished its 13-game road trip on a high note with an 82-58 victory in Redding over the Simpson University Redhawks. Five players scored in double figures paced by
AJ Sims' 18 points.
Victor Mijas chipped in 17 points while
Noah Viera added 13 points. Also scoring in double digits were
Caleb Giordano with 12 points and
Keshawn Hall with 10 points.
The Lumberjacks held their hosts to just 36.4% shooting from the field including just 36.7% from beyond the arc. They also forced 20 turnovers by Simpson.
HSU shot 52.2% from three-point land with Mijas going four-for-seven followed by Giordano's three-for-five performance from beyond the arc. The Lumberjacks just missed five of their attempts from the charity stripe (16-for-21) with three players going a combined 12-for-12 in Mijas, Sims and Viera.
