ARCATA, Calif.--- Cal State East Bay's Justin Vigil hit a last second shot to defeat the Cal Poly Humboldt State Lumberjacks 86-84 in triple overtime.  The 'Jacks lost their second straight overtime game despite three players in double figures in scoring in Jaden Edwards (26 points), Amari Green (17 points) and Bryce Mitchell (13 points).

FIRST HALF:  Jaden Edwards' free throw gave the 'Jacks the early 8-2 lead in the first three minutes of the game.  Cal State East Bay (8-12, 6-8 CCAA) outscored Humboldt 15-9 in the next ten minutes to tie the game on a Justin Vigil three. SECOND HALF:  Cal State East Bay came out strong early in the second half and increased its lead to 35-24 on two made free throws by Zack Perlstein.  An Alonzo Washington three off a pass from AJ Sims capped a 14-0 run by the 'Jacks as they took a 39-35 lead with 12 minutes left in regulation.  A  three by Sims off a pass from Andrew Mork increased the hosts' lead to 42-35 mid-way through the half.  Cal State East Bay came right back and outscored its hosts 17-4 to take a 52-46 lead with less than six minutes to go in the half.  The 'Jacks didn't go away as they took a 55-54 lead on two free throws by Jaden Edwards with 4:31 on the clock.

An old-fashioned three-point play by DJ Sanders gave the Pioneers a 59-56 lead with just 3:11 to go in regulation. Humboldt went on a 6-0 run capped by an Austin Harris jumper off a pass from Amari Green and the 'Jacks took a 62-59 lead with just 45 ticks on the clock.  Perlstein's three-point play tied the game at 62-62 on the Pioneers' next possession.  The 'Jacks had a chance to take the lead and the win, but Justin Vigil drew an offensive foul to send the game into overtime.
