POMONA, Calif.--- Cal Poly Pomona Broncos shot 50% from the field including 68.7% in the first half to key their 87-49 win over the visiting Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks this evening in Kellogg Arena in Pomona, Calif.
Jaden Edwards was one of three 'Jacks to score in double digits with his 17 points.
AJ Sims added 11 points and
Bryce Mitchell chipped in 10 points for Humboldt.
FIRST HALF: Cal Poly Pomona (10-8, 6-8 CCAA) took a 10-0 lead in the first three minutes of the game capped by a Phoenix Shackelford lay-up. A
Bryce Mitchell lay-up capped a 8-5 run by the 'Jacks as they cut the deficit to 15-8. Pomona increased its lead to 20-8, but an
AJ Sims' lay-up cut the Bronco lead to 20-12 nine minutes into the game. The hosts outscored Humboldt 34-9 to finish the half to take a 54-17 lead into the locker room.
SECOND HALF: A Chris Gayles, Jr., dunk gave the Broncos a 71-31 lead six minutes into the second half as the Broncos took the 87-49 victory.
ALL BUT THREE: Jaden Edwards has scored in double figures in all but three of Humboldt's 23 games this season . This evening he scored 17 points as he went six-for-17 from the field and five-of-seven from the line in 31 minutes.

AJ Sims with 11 points and
Bryce Mitchell had 10 points. Mitchell just missed his third double-double of the season as he grabbed eight rebounds.
UP NEXT: Cal Poly Humboldt (10-13, 4-13 CCAA) will have its final road game of the regular season this Saturday, February 19 in San Bernardino. The 'Jacks will face No. 6 Cal State San Bernardino at 7:30pm on Saturday evening. The Yotes defeated Humboldt 83-62 in Arcata last month. They defeated Sonoma State 100-67 in San Bernardino this evening.
