PORTLAND, Ore.--- As announced by the office of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) this morning, Cal Poly Humboldt's women's 8+ was named the GNAC Women's Rowing Crew of the Week for the week of March 7-13, 2022.
The Lumberjacks, under the guidance of head coach of
Matt Weise, competed in two invitationals this weekend in the Sacramento, Calif. The Jacks were at the Sacramento State Invitational on Saturday at Lake Natoma in Sacramento and the Aggie Invitational on Sunday at Port of West Sacramento in Sacramento.
Humboldt captured the varsity 8+ race at the Aggie Invitational on Sunday with a time of 7:13.3 seven seconds ahead of UC Davis. On Saturday, the Jacks finished in third-place at the Sacramento State Invitational with a time of 7:20.4.
