ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's rowing student-athlete
Kealey Scott was named to the 2022 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team presented by CoSIDA, as announced this morning. Scott was a First Team selection and will now be placed on the 2022 Academic All-American® Women's At-Large Team ballot with the team being announced in June.
This is Scott's first time being named to the Academic All-District Team. Earlier this spring, Scott was named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Rowing All-Academic Team. During the 2020-21 season, Scott was named a recipient of the GNAC Faculty Athletic Representative Scholar-Athlete Award, presented by Barnes & Noble College.
The Child Development and Family Relations major is one of three rowers from the GNAC that received this honor. Western Washington's Maddie Bangasser and Clarice Ruhlin-Hicks are also recipients.
The Lumberjack sophomore was a member of the varsity eight that was the GNAC Women's Rowing Crew of the Week for the week of March 7-13. The Jacks finished third at the Sacramento State Invitational March 12 and captured the Aggie Invitational March 13.
Scott was a member of the varsity eight that claimed second place in the Grand Final of the 2022 WIRA Championships in Gold River, Calif., on April 30.
The Women's At-Large Team is comprised of student-athletes that are at least in their second-year at the institution, have a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, a starter or important reserve and a member of the school's rowing, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, beach volleyball, bowing, fencing, field hockey, ice hockey, golf, swimming, skiing, tennis or water polo teams.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District Team is voted on by the district's sports information directors which consists of institutions in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the PacWest Conference.
