Grace Filiau will transfer into the program as a junior this fall intending to major in Kinesiology. Filiau, a 5'5" goalkeeper from Sacramento, played two seasons at Folsom Lake College after attending Inderkum High School. At Inderkum, Filiau was an All-Conference player and also was awarded Athlete of the Year honors. This past 2022 season at Folsom Lake College, Filiau racked up the awards, bringing in 2022 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) All-State, CCCAA All-Region, Big-8 Conference Defender of the Year, and Big-8 Conference All-Conference honors. As a goalkeeper at Folsom Lake College, Filiau has started 37 of 38 matches, playing a combined total of over 3,000 minutes, allowed only 12 goals (0.36 goals allowed average), has 115 career saves with a 90.6 save percentage, averaged 3.03 saves per game, and had a career record in goal of 26-0-8. In free time, Grace enjoys planting, painting, video games, and board games.

Head Coach Grant Landy says, "Grace will bring some solid goalkeeping experience to our team in the fall. She had an outstanding career at Folsom Lake College. Grace has quick feet and natural instincts to snuff out crosses and shots. She is an excellent shot stopper.  I look forward to having her in our program in the fall!"

Emilia Long

Emilia Long | Jr. | 5'9" | F | Port Angeles, Wash. | Port Angeles HS | Peninsula College

Emilia Long is a 5'9" sophomore forward who is transferring from Peninsula College and joining the team in the Fall of 2023. Long intends to major in Kinesiology during her time at Cal Poly Humboldt. Long will be a dual sport athlete with the Lumberjacks, playing both soccer and basketball.  She has a lengthy resume of playing accolades and records at Peninsula College. This past season for women's soccer, Long was named the 2022 Baden Athlete of the Year, Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) North Region MVP, and selected as a NWAC All-Star.  For basketball, Long was a North Region champion, Defensive MVP, and 1st Team All-Region this past season. In her free time, Emilia enjoys sports, hiking, outdoor activities, biking, traveling, and skydiving.

Head Coach Grant Landy says, "Emilia is an amazing athlete who loves to compete. She will give us another dangerous player in the attack for the fall. Emilia has the pace, grit and work rate to be a handful for opposing defenders. She is a decorated two-sport athlete from Peninsula College who will also compete on our women's basketball team. I am excited that Emilia chose Humboldt to finish out her playing career."
