Fresh off their first-ever conference tournament championship this past fall, the Cal Poly Humboldt women’s soccer program has announced its annual Alumni Game this spring as Saturday, May 2nd.

“We are continuing to build some fantastic momentum with our soccer program and the alumni are such a huge part of that success,”  Head Coach Grant Landy said.  “We had a great event last year celebrating 30 years of a soccer program, so we are looking to build on the success of that event this spring.  This fall’s historical season has energized our alumni even more, so we expect another great event where we can share and celebrate with this amazing group.”

The Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Soccer program entered NCAA competition in 1995, marking a significant milestone in the team's history. Since then, the program has been a vital part of the university's athletic landscape. The team competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and has established a strong tradition of excellence both in athletics and academics at the NCAA level.

Program highlights include a NCAA postseason berth in 1996, the first CCAA conference tournament appearance in 2006, as well as the most wins in a single season and first CCAA conference tournament victory in 2023.

In 2025, the program won its first-ever CCAA conference tournament, and advanced to the NCAA Division II national tournament for the first time in almost 30 years.  The program has a total of five Humboldt Athletics Hall of Fame inductees and 97 all-conference recognitions.
