Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Soccer Alumni

30 Years WSOC

Cal Poly Humboldt is excited to announce a significant milestone for its Women's Soccer program. The year 2025 will mark 30 years since the team's inception to NCAA competition, and the program is planning a year-long celebration to highlight three decades of student-athletes and coaches.

"This 30-year milestone in NCAA competition is a testament to the dedication of our athletes, coaches, and supporters," said Dr. Nick Pettit, Cal Poly Humboldt's Executive Athletics Director. "We're thrilled to celebrate this milestone and honor the legacy of our Women's Soccer program at the NCAA level."

Over the next year, Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer will be profiling alumni who have both impacted the program and are making a difference in their careers and communities. In addition to these profile features, the program encourages attendance at the annual alumni game and fall celebration event where we will recognize 30 years of NCAA competition.

"We are excited to spend the next year honoring our women's soccer alumni and celebrating 30 years as a program," said Grant Landy, Head Coach of the Women's Soccer team. "I have really enjoyed getting to know a lot of our alumni over the past five years.  They take a lot of pride in our program and the university as a whole.  We have two great events planned this year and I hope all of our alumni will come back to celebrate."

The Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Soccer program entered NCAA competition in 1995, marking a significant milestone in the team's history. Since then, the program has been a vital part of the university's athletic landscape. The team competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and has established a strong tradition of excellence both in athletics and academics at the NCAA level. Program highlights include a NCAA postseason berth in 1996, the first CCAA conference tournament appearance in 2006, as well as the most wins in a single season and first CCAA conference tournament victory in 2023. The program has a total of five Humboldt Athletics Hall of Fame inductees and 97 all-conference recognitions.
