GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Cal Poly Humboldt (3-4, 0-0 CCAA) battled but fell short in their second match of the day, losing in straight sets to a strong Angelo State (6-1, 0-0 Lone Star) team at the Brownson Arena. Despite several solid individual performances, the Lumberjacks were unable to overcome the Rams' efficient offense, dropping the match 25-21, 25-19, 25-21.
Match Breakdown
Angelo State opened the match with a dominant first set, hitting .435 while Humboldt managed a respectable .242 hitting percentage. The Lumberjacks recorded 12 kills in the first set but couldn't keep pace with the Rams, who took the set 25-21.
In the second set, Humboldt's attack continued to find some success, hitting .222, but once again Angelo State's offensive efficiency (.345) and aggressive serving gave them the edge, winning 25-19. The Lumberjacks struggled in the third set, hitting just .029, and the Rams closed out the match with a 25-21 victory.

Cal Poly Humboldt was led offensively by
Awelina Fakalata, who notched a match-high 13 kills and added 7 digs.
Graysen Trupp and
Madyn Cervellera contributed 6 kills apiece, while
Brielle Wilson dished out 15 assists.

Defensively, the Lumberjacks were anchored by
