ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer continued its historic run on Friday afternoon, defeating Stanislaus State 1–0 at College Creek Field to remain perfect in CCAA play and record its sixth consecutive shutout — the longest shutout streak in program history.
After a scoreless first half, the Jacks wasted no time after the break. In the 47th minute, Karsyn Ross buried her third goal of the season on a banger, finishing a well-placed pass from Frida Duran Arellano to give Humboldt the decisive edge.
The Jacks' defense once again proved impenetrable, limiting the Warriors to just seven shots — five on target — and holding their sixth straight opponent scoreless. Goalkeepers Ari Beddoes and Carson Thomson-Terrel split duties in net, combining for four saves to preserve the clean sheet.
Offensively, Humboldt tallied nine total shots, led by Morgan Young with three on goal and Ross adding two more. The Jacks also earned four corner kicks and applied consistent pressure throughout the second half to secure the win in front of 182 fans at College Creek Field.
With the victory, Cal Poly Humboldt improves to 5-3-4 overall and 3-0-2 in CCAA play, while extending its streak of not allowing a single goal in conference action this season.
The Jacks will look to keep their record-setting momentum rolling when they continue conference play on Sunday at home versus Cal State San Bernardino for Senior Day. Kickoff is at 11:30 AM.
The eight seniors being celebrated before the match will include: Frida Duran Arellano, Annie Hoffman, Josie Wolitzky, Carson Thomson-Terrel, Alexis Blue, Morgan Young, Payton Heaney, and Camryn Patten.
