ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt Rowing added to its legacy of excellence this weekend as three student-athletes earned spots on the 2025 All-WIRA Team following standout performances at the 2025 Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships. Dana Foley and Kealey Scott were each named to the First Team, while Emily Daniels earned Second Team honors.
Coxswain Emily Daniels led the undefeated Varsity 4 boat to a dominant gold-medal finish, continuing their perfect season and reaffirming their status as one of the top small boats in the region. Foley and Scott played a key role in the Varsity 8 boat, which raced to a silver medal and second-place finish in one of the regatta's most competitive events.
The All-WIRA Team recognizes coach-nominated athletes of distinction from podium crews in select events at the WIRA Championships. This year's honorees from Cal Poly Humboldt stood out for their leadership, skill, and consistency throughout the season and at the championship regatta.
The WIRA Championships, held annually at Lake Natoma, feature NCAA Division I and Division II programs, as well as club programs, from across the western United States. With the Varsity 4 remaining unbeaten and both the V4 and V8 boats reaching the podium, Cal Poly Humboldt Rowing continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the spring season.
