ARCATA, Calif. — The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its 2025 All-American teams and regional coaching honors on Friday, with Cal Poly Humboldt Rowing once again taking center stage among the nation's top performers.
Representing the Jacks on the 2025 CRCA First Team All-American list are senior rowers Emily Marsolais and Kealey Scott, both recognized for their outstanding seasons on the water. Marsolais, a 2025 First Team All-GNAC selection, also earned 2024 CRCA Second Team All-American honors and was part of the 2023 NCAA National Champion team as a spare pair. Scott, meanwhile, adds this latest honor to an impressive resume that includes 2025 GNAC Rower of the Year, 2025 First Team All-WIRA, 2025 First Team All-GNAC, and a spot on the 2025 CRCA Watch List. She was also a member of the 2023 NCAA National Champion Varsity 8+ boat.
Head Coach Matt Weise was named the 2025 CRCA Division II West Region Coach of the Year, building upon a record of excellence that features GNAC Coach of the Year honors in 2025 and 2023, as well as CRCA Division II National and West Region Coach of the Year awards in 2023.
The entire Humboldt coaching staff—led by Weise and including Associate Head Coach Ashley Donnell, Volunteer Assistant Coaches Lisa Weise and Marie-Claire Desplancke, and Graduate Assistant Chloe Pieper-Wasem—was honored as the 2025 CRCA Division II West Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Under head coach Matt Weise, Cal Poly Humboldt also earned CRCA national and regional coaching staff accolades from the 2023 season.
The 2025 season has been another milestone in the rich history of Cal Poly Humboldt Rowing, and the program looks forward to building on this momentum in the years to come.
