ARCATA, Calif. - Cal Poly Humboldt junior goalkeeper Ari Beddoes has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5, the conference announced Tuesday.

Beddoes earned the honor after posting consecutive shutouts against Cal State Los Angeles and No. 5 Cal Poly Pomona at College Creek Field. They played all 180 minutes in goal and stopped all 12 shots on target for a perfect 1.000 save percentage.

The San Francisco local opened the week with six saves in Humboldt's scoreless draw against Cal State LA on Friday. Beddoes made five of those stops during the second half as the Lumberjacks preserved the clean sheet.

Beddoes followed with another six-save performance against previously unbeaten Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday. They turned away five shots during the opening half and added another save after halftime to secure their second shutout of the weekend.

The two opponents combined for 31 shots, but Beddoes did not concede a goal as Humboldt collected two points in the CCAA standings and extended its unbeaten run at College Creek Field.

Beddoes ranks third in the CCAA with a 0.36 goals-against average and third with a .909 save percentage. Their seven shutouts rank second in the conference, while they have allowed only four goals across 990 minutes this season.

The recognition marks the first CCAA weekly award earned by a Humboldt goalkeeper since 2024.

The two draws moved the Lumberjacks to 5-3-4 overall and 3-1-2 in conference play, placing Humboldt in a tie for fourth in the CCAA standings with 11 points.
