SEATTLE, Wash. – Cal Poly Humboldt rowing delivered a dominant performance at the Falcon Regatta on Saturday morning on the Lake Washington Ship Canal, highlighted by multiple first-place finishes including a sweep of the Varsity 4+ races and a victory in the opening Varsity 8+.

Humboldt set the tone early and often against a field that included Western Washington and Seattle Pacific, showcasing depth across multiple boats throughout the day.

The Lumberjacks' first victory came in the morning's opening Varsity 4+ (Event 3), where Humboldt pulled away from the field with a winning time of 8:03.826, finishing more than 12 seconds ahead of Western Washington. Humboldt continued that momentum into the Varsity 8+ (Event 4), edging out Western Washington and Seattle Pacific in a tightly contested race with a time of 7:01.334, securing the program's first Varsity 8+ win of the day.

Following the mid-morning break, Humboldt's depth was on full display. The Second Varsity 8+ (Event 5) crew claimed another decisive victory, crossing in 7:43.315, over 12 seconds clear of Western Washington.

The Varsity 4+ crew capped off a standout day by completing the sweep in Event 6, taking first once again with a time of 8:12.647. The win marked Humboldt's second Varsity 4+ victory of the regatta and one of the most impressive performances of the day, as the Lumberjacks held off a late push from Western Washington.

In the final Varsity 8+ race (Event 7), Humboldt battled in one of the closest finishes of the regatta, placing second with a time of 7:23.882, just 2.449 seconds behind Western Washington.

Humboldt also opened the day with a third-place finish in the Novice 4+ (Event 2), clocking in at 8:49.127, gaining valuable experience against strong competition.
