EUREKA, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt rowing delivered a strong day on the water Saturday morning, posting multiple runner-up finishes and depth across events at the annual Blue Heron Humboldt Regatta, hosted at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center.

The Lumberjacks were highlighted by a pair of second-place finishes in the premier eight events. Humboldt's Varsity 8+ crew clocked a time of 6:33.467 to finish second in a competitive field that included St. Mary's, Puget Sound, and Lewis & Clark.

The V8 lineup featured coxswain Giania Bogacki alongside Adelaide Toll, Leah Dunn, Elsie Stevens, River Walkington, Royce Ankel, Dayanara Anaya, Lily Storseth, and Ellie Walters.

Humboldt followed that performance with another second-place finish in the 2nd Varsity 8+, crossing in 6:51.536. The crew of coxswain Olivia Huynh, Laurel Calhoun, Emma Wilson, Keziah Rutschow, Rowan White, Lea Lankston, Linea Vizenor, Nadia Weise, and Gabbie Griffin held off the rest of the field behind St. Mary's.

In the Women's Novice 4+, the Lumberjacks added a third-place finish (9:33.311) with a lineup of coxswain Jenna Frampton, Maquire Casey, Clementine Buehler, Dani Harper, and Sofia Drewicke.

Humboldt showcased its depth in the Women's Pair event, sweeping the top three spots. The "B" boat of Elsie Stevens and River Walkington took first (8:38.970), followed by Royce Ankel and Leah Dunn in second (8:50.035). The "D" pair of Adelaide Toll and Nadia Weise placed third (9:06.874), while the "C" entry of Dayanara Anaya and Ellie Walters rounded out the Lumberjack entries.

In the Women's Varsity 4+, Humboldt placed third and fourth with two competitive entries. The 2V4 (coxswain Giania Bogacki, Lea Lankston, Linea Vizenor, Gabbie Griffin, Dani Harper) finished in 8:35.141, just ahead of the V4 crew (coxswain Olivia Huynh, Laurel Calhoun, Emma Wilson, Keziah Rutschow, Rowan White) at 8:37.309.
