CLERMONT, Fla. — The Cal Poly Humboldt women's triathlon team put in a strong performance at last weekend's Clermont Draft Legal Challenge, finishing fifth overall in a mixed field of Division I and Division II teams.
Sophomore Poppy Edge led the team across the line for the first time, finishing 15th overall. Close behind were sophomores Anna Hanstveit in 17th and Emma Hanstveit in 18th, giving Humboldt three athletes in the top 20.
The team faced stiff competition from Division I programs Navy (176), Duquesne (161), and Delaware State (43), as well as Division II 2025 national podium finishers Wingate (196) and Drury (139). Humboldt's strong finishes showed off both their veteran experience and emerging talent, proving the Lumberjacks are a team to watch.
