ARCATA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Triathlon Team is excited to welcome young athletes and their families to the
Lumberjack Splash & Dash, a fun, beginner-friendly swim-and-run event designed to introduce youth to the sport of multi-sport competition while encouraging confidence, fitness, and community.
The event will take place
Sunday, August 30, with participant check-in from
8:00–9:00 a.m. at the
Kinesiology & Athletics (KA) Building on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus. Open to children
ages 5–15, the Splash & Dash provides an exciting opportunity for participants of all experience levels to challenge themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Participants will enjoy a safe, well-organized event led by members of the Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Triathlon Team. Athletes will swim in the university pool before heading to the track for the running portion of the event, where volunteers and team members will cheer them on every step of the way.
The Lumberjack Splash & Dash also reflects the team's commitment to community engagement. As one of Cal Poly Humboldt's growing athletic programs, the team is passionate about inspiring the next generation of athletes while fostering healthy lifestyles throughout Humboldt County.
Families are encouraged to register early, as space may be limited.
