'Jacks Set to Defend GNAC Title at 2026 GNAC Women’s Rowing Championships

GOLD RIVER, Calif. – Fresh off capturing the program's first conference championship in 2025, the Cal Poly Humboldt women's rowing team heads to Gold River, California, this Saturday for the 2026 GNAC Women's Rowing Championships at Lake Natoma.

The championship regatta, hosted in conjunction with the West Coast Conference Championships, will feature races in the Second Varsity 4+, Varsity 4+, and Varsity 8+ beginning at 10 a.m. The Lumberjacks enter the weekend looking to defend their title after becoming the first program outside of Central Oklahoma and Western Washington to win the GNAC championship last season.

Saturday's schedule begins with the GNAC 2V4 Final at 10 a.m., followed by the Varsity 4 Final at 10:10 a.m. and the Varsity 8 Final at 10:20 a.m. The GNAC Awards Ceremony is scheduled for approximately 11:30 a.m. near the finish line.

The overall team championship is determined by combined scoring in the Varsity 4+ and Varsity 8+ races. The Varsity 8+ carries 18 points for first place, while the Varsity 4+ awards 12 points to the winner. Teams must compete in both races to be eligible for the overall championship.
