ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt rowing placed 11 student-athletes on the 2026 Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Academic Team, recognizing their outstanding work in the classroom alongside their commitment on the water.
To be eligible for GNAC All-Academic honors, student-athletes must be of sophomore standing or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better.
Leading the way for the Lumberjacks were four student-athletes who posted perfect 4.00 grade point averages: senior Mia Kelm (Art History and Museum Studies), junior Emily O'Keefe (Psychology), junior Lily Storseth (Environmental Science), and sophomore Nadia Weise (Kinesiology – Exercise Science).
Kelm, a senior from Fresno, California, headlines the group with her flawless academic record, while O'Keefe and Storseth continued to demonstrate consistency at the highest level academically. Weise, an Arcata native, earned recognition in her first year of eligibility.
Also earning GNAC All-Academic honors were junior Lea Lankston (Kinesiology – Pre-Health, 3.23, Santa Rosa, Calif.), sophomore Keziah Rutschow (Journalism News, 3.70, Vashon, Wash.), junior Elsie Stevens (Marine Biology, 3.65, Portland, Ore.), and junior Linea Vizenor (Computer Science, 3.85, Arcata, Calif.).
Rounding out the honorees were seniors River Walkington (Business Administration – Finance, 3.38, Eureka, Calif.), Ellie Walters (Child Development & Family Relationships – Special Studies, 3.65, Folsom, Calif.), and Emma Wilson (Kinesiology – Pre-Health, 3.33, Eureka, Calif.).
Walters and Vizenor were additionally recognized with GNAC All-Academic honors with distinction, denoted by conference-specific markers from being GNAC All-Academic in previous years.
Cal Poly Humboldt's 11 selections highlight the program's continued emphasis on academic excellence, with every honoree maintaining at least a 3.20 GPA and several achieving near-perfect or perfect marks.
