GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The Cal Poly Humboldt rowing team is set to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division II Rowing National Championships this weekend at Lake Lanier Olympic Park, the historic venue that hosted rowing competition during the 1996 Olympic Games.
The Lumberjacks enter the national championships ranked No. 2 in the nation after a runner-up finish at the GNAC Championships earlier this month. Following two weeks of preparation and training, Humboldt travels to Georgia focused on making a run at the program's fourth NCAA National Championship title after previously claiming crowns in 2012, 2014, and 2023.
In addition to pursuing another team title, the 'Jacks will also look to defend their Varsity 4+ national championship after capturing the event title in 2025.
"This group has put in tremendous work throughout the season and over the last two weeks," said Head Coach Matt Weise. "We're excited for the opportunity to compete on the national stage again and race against the best crews in the country."
Heat racing will begin Friday morning with grand finals scheduled for Saturday (all scheduled times are subject to change due to potential incoming weather).
